End of Year Message from Superintendent
Thanks to families for supporting students and schools
As we move toward the end of the 2021-22 school year, one of the wonderful things we see is resuming some of our traditional end-of-year experiences. Awards assemblies, dances, and promotion events have been happening as students move on to the next grade level.
To all of our families: Thank you for weathering the challenges of the past two years with us, for your contributions to the school, and for making a positive difference for students, teachers and staff.
To those of you promoting out of our district: Thank you for your many years of partnership. You have invested in your child and your child's school for many years, given of yourself, and helped to make us a better district. While we hate to lose you from our system, we wish you well in your transition.
As we look forward to the new school year, we hope for the return of more activities that bring our school communities together for fun, learning, and building relationships.
For those returning to our schools for the new school year, we look forward to seeing you on our campuses on August 18th. Please watch for information from your schools in early August for the details you’ll need to start the school year strong.
As for COVID-19, we’ll follow the guidance from public health officials and continue to guard student and employee safety. We will continue monitoring local conditions and protocols this summer and send notices to families and staff as we know more about what the public health department will require.
Communication from the district will come through ParentSquare and our websites. For your convenience, we recommend downloading the ParentSquare app.
For now, I wish you a safe and happy summer. I hope you are able to find time to slow down and to resume some of those activities with friends and family that energize you and bring you joy.
